About Me
I started skiing when I was 6; although that seems a little late, nothing can stop some one making there dreams come true. My home club was Norfolk; if at any time you ask anyone here I was they'd say I'd be skiing. When I got my first pair of skis I didn't know what to do with myself! To begin with, as most people know, I hadn't a clue how to respect my equipment. So my dad and I would wax my skis with a clothes iron, scrape them with a metal scrapper and brush them with a lump of iron fillings! Luckily I learn quickly and now I cant stand anyone touching my skis and I'm now the one showing my dad how to prep his skis!
Eventually I was competing in ERSA 's in 2008 winning some medals here and there; which to me was another world compared to my club races. But only recently have I really stepped up my game. Two years ago I through myself into indoor races, Grand Prix's and Nationals in the summer. Every weekend I was racing to catch up with the rest of my age group.
Then after doing a week of BSA (to try it out) I went for the lot: Summer and October Traininng in Les Deux Alpes, and a whole winter season of training which was the start of my alpine career; this ment finishing plastic racing forever. But respectfully I go down there every now and again thanking my coach for starting me on my racing road. Thanks to my family, coaches and friends who doanated to the skiers trust i made a massive leap this year!
